Andy Warhol: Little Electric Chair Paintings

News and death fascinated Warhol, and nowhere is this more uncomfortably reflected than in his paintings of electric chairs. Part of his Death and Disaster series, these works borrow from the eye-catching style of tabloid journalism to reflect on the clash of dreams and violence that suffused 60s America. This catalog was published on the occasion of the same-titled exhibition held at Stellan Holm Gallery, New York on May 1 - May 25, 2001. No dust-jacket as issued. About fine with a bit of rubbing to the corners only. 10½" - 10".
